Sparkling hedgerows – Online Art Workshops – draw along in real time

(4 customer reviews)

£16.00

I will be using Unison Colour Soft Pastels to create a sparkling hedgerow and beautiful billowing clouds. We will be exploring colour and techniques to help you capture foliage and creating perspective. I’ll show you how I build up colours in layers along with my favourite techniques with liquid and soft pastel. This workshop can be bought as an individual session or part of my discounted, Autumn Series.

Description

My sparkling hedgerows soft pastel workshop is the first in my Autumn Series of workshops and a great way of learning more about foliage and perspective. The recording is hosted in a dedicated Facebook Group or you can access the recording in other formats, you prefer.

You can paint along with me or just watch me and absorb the process to repeat at a later date. I suggest watching and drawing a second time, as it’s hard to do both things well, in my experience. I’m using ( approx 20 x 30 cm ) Fisher 400 (similar to Uart400) and Unison Colour pastels, learn more about the workshops here. You don’t have to use sanded papers but they make a huge difference to the vibrancy of your artwork when used with good quality pigments like Unison Colour.

When you buy the workshop recording, I will invite you to the Facebook Group via a link in the website receipt, there’s a recorded video, bespoke colour chart and all the reference materials within the Facebook Group for you to access listed under “Announcements” within the Facebook Group.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Nina Squire’s workshops. This is my second Autumn Term Series, let alone several one off live events and a 5 day Unison challenge (which introduced me to Nina in the first place). I’m back because Nina is a really fabulous tutor and also for the online learning environment, where you become part of a wonderful, supportive group.
Nina has years of experience from which she shares lots of great tips, lots of her time, fantastic scenes to paint and she gives us heaps of encouragement. I, for one, feel much more confident, and really look forward to each new session.

Thank you, Fran, we’ve been lucky with the fantastic Unison Colour community, it’s been so much fun pastelling with our online pastel gang. I’m glad you are enjoying it, I’m looking forward to the next workshop. Happy pastelling till then. Nina

This has been the most wonderful online art workshop with Nina Squire. I am totally new to pastels and I have to admit I was slightly nervous. I enjoyed it so much I signed up for the whole series. Nina is a wonderfully talented artist in her own right and an excellent tutor. Every step of the process is explained clearly and the best part is, you have the video tutorial to watch in your own time, as many times as you wish. What a great way to learn all about pastels in the comfort of your own home! You will not be disappointed.

Thank you, Helen, I do appreciate your support, it’s been lovely to have you join. I enjoy the flexibility the recordings allow and I agree, it’s lovely being able to pastel together but from our home comforts! Happy pastelling til next time. Nina

I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Nina’s sparkling meadows as an easy way into the joys of pastel painting. Nina has a way of making everything look easy, she is a superlative teacher and nothing is too much trouble if you get stuck. the group of like minded artists also have a hand in making everyone feel comfortable and ready to carry on.
