Dappled light – Online Art Workshops – draw along in real time

(1 customer review)

£16.00

I will be using Unison Colour Soft Pastels to create a dappled light on a river scene. We’ll spend time covering mark making and how to keep them fresh and lively. I’ll show you how I build up colours in layers along with my favourite techniques with liquid and soft pastel. This workshop can be bought as an individual session or part of my discounted, Autumn Series.

Description

My dappled light soft pastel workshop is the third in my Autumn Series of workshops. I am focusing of colour studies and their benefits. You’ll also learn more about trees, mark making and dappled light. If you haven’t booked your space already you can join the Live session on 4th October at 10am -12 UK time or you can access as a recording at a time and pace that suit you. The Live video and recording is hosted in a dedicated Facebook Group or you can access the recording in other formats, you prefer.

You can paint along with me or just watch me and absorb the process to repeat at a later date. I suggest watching and drawing a second time, as it’s hard to do both things well, in my experience. I’m using ( approx 20 x 30 cm ) Fisher 400 (similar to Uart400) and Unison Colour pastels, learn more about the workshops here. You don’t have to use sanded papers but they make a huge difference to the vibrancy of your artwork when used with good quality pigments like Unison Colour.

When you buy the workshop, I will invite you to the Facebook Group via a link in the website receipt. If you are accessing it Live, the Facebook opens the day before the workshop. If it’s as a recording, the Facebook Group has the recorded video, bespoke colour chart and all the reference materials within the Facebook Group for you to access listed under “Announcements” within the Facebook Group.

Once again, two hours well spent learning more and soaking up the joy of pastels. Nina’s natural enthusiasm and comfortable way in front of the camera makes me feel I’m in the room with her. Looking forward to more of these and taking things forward.
