Harlyn bay in soft pastel workshop is the third in my Summer series of workshops. Cornish rocks and seaspray on a sparkling emerald sea. Rocks are a challenge but I am sharing my best tips for creating craggy surfaces that look wet with sea spray. That emerald sea show some of the best qualities of Unison Colour soft pastel, I’ll share my best tips for keeping those colours fresh. Plus, it’s all recorded so you can repeat and work at you own time and pace. I’ll also be sharing with you tips for discovering ways to find a composition in your daily walk. If you haven’t booked your space already you can join the Live session on 16th May at 10am -12 UK time or you can access as a recording at a time and pace that suit you. The Live video and recording is hosted in a dedicated Facebook Group or you can access the recording in other formats, you prefer.

You can paint along with me or just watch me and absorb the process to repeat at a later date. I suggest watching and drawing a second time, as it’s hard to do both things well, in my experience. I’m using ( approx 20 x 30 cm ) Fisher 400 for a similar effect use Uart and Unison Colour pastels, learn more about the workshops here. You don’t have to use sanded papers but they make a huge difference to the vibrancy of your artwork when used with good quality pigments like Unison Colour.
