This is my second Autumn Series of soft pastel painting workshops. I’ve taken views I’d like to be in and used them as a way of sharing soft pastel painting techniques. My students results have been so encouraging. The series of workshops are flexible, they can either be taken as individuals or as a progressive series. I suggest taking a regular class helps develop a fluidity and confidence in your work. There’s no better teacher than time, regular practice helps build confidence and skills. One of the benefits to my online soft pastel painting workshops is that they are recorded, so you can work at a time and pace that suit you. It means that people can access art on their terms and even when you’re short on time.
Soft pastels are flexible, you don’t have to worry about paint drying or brushes that need cleaning. It’s just one of the many things I love about soft pastels. I’ve been sharing my love of Unison Colour Soft Pastels, they are a high quality, hand made soft pastel, made in the UK. I suggest investing in your hobby as one of the best ways of ensuring your hobby develops into a life long love. You can listen to a vlog we created with Jacksons Art on just a few of the very best things about Unison Colour here.

I wanted to use this post to share just some of the many successes of my students. They are inspirational and I am always mesmerised by their enthusiasm and progress during these sessions. Here are just a few from the first two in the series, Sparkling Hedgerows and Morning Glow.
