8 Week Autumn Series 2024 Soft Pastel Workshops

My online soft pastel workshops suit both experienced artists and those looking to find confidence after a break. You can see my process from blank piece of paper to finished artwork. Read more about topics here. The workshops are two hours and recorded so you can work at a time and pace that suit you. You can join at any point during the series, as previous sessions are recorded. Plus, you’ll join a friendly group of online artists in a private Facebook Group for support and feedback.

Welcome to our exciting new series of online soft pastel painting workshops! This series will be brimming with tips for mixed media approaches to elevate your pastel paintings to new heights. We are starting off with a celebration of summer flowers. Picture yourself in a vibrant meadow, finding your pastel mojo and creating a masterpiece that would make a fantastic gift.
We’ll journey through my favourite walks, seascapes and sunset beach walks, drawing inspiration from the natural beauty around us to spark your creativity. As we move through the seasons, we’ll tackle the challenges of vineyards and perspective and autumnal trees, equipping you with the confidence to approach new scenes with ease.
The picturesque St Ives coastline and charming fishing boats will help us simplify complex objects, making them approachable for all skill levels. A high street scene to inspire you to find new views. And let’s not forget the seashore, where we’ll delve into the flotsam and jetsam, exploring texture techniques that will make your artwork truly sparkle.
My goal is to help you build your skills and confidence as a soft pastel painter, all while enjoying the support and camaraderie of our wonderful online community. Whether you’re a seasoned artist or just starting out, these workshops are designed to inspire and uplift you on your creative journey.

We’ll build skills and develop your confidence whilst enjoying our wonderful online art community. Plus the recordings are available for many months after the Live – you can catch up any you miss easily and at a time and pace that suit you.
